Tampa, FL Thank you to all our fans and friends who came out to support the mission of the Dave Andreychuk Foundation at Amalie Arena on March 5 2016,. Guests purchased tickets to see the Tampa Bay Lightning take on the Carolina Hurricanes in the Verizon Suite and proceeds from the ticket sales benefitted the Foundation. Guests were treated to delicious food and beverages throughout the night and were hosted by Dave Andreychuk. Dave greeted guests, mingled and was available to sign autographs and take photos. There were chance drawings and a silent auctions that included autographed sports memorabilia and experiences. Thank you to the guests and following companies for supporting this event: Tampa Bay Lightning Yeoman’s Cask & Lion Pura Cycling Studios Total Wine Ulele Restaurant and Brewery Stonewood Grill and Tavern Skin Solutions in Wesley Chapel Jessica Roberts at Salon at the Walk in New Tampa Dave Andreychuk for items in his personal collection The event was a huge success and raised approximately $10,000 to be donated to local charities! Hope to see everyone next year! A fantastic Hamilton event that help to raise funds for Autism Awareness and assistance for families in need. Many local celebrities were on hand to celebrate the growth of the foundation and the aid it provides for those in need. Dave as the guest of honour spoke after dinner, signed autographs and posed for photos with guests. Some of the other celebrities participating in the celebration were: Harry Howell (Hockey Hall of Famer), Janette Ewen (Co-Host of Inside the Box), Dave Dykstra (Sprint Car Champion), David Clemmer (Style By Jury), Walter Gretzky, Bryan Potvin (Northern Pikes). Taking place in Hamilton Ontario, this Golf tournament helps to raise funds to ensure that every year no child in Hamilton will go without playing hockey due to economic disadvantages. Dave played in the tournament with his father and other members of the Foundation were there lending a hand to such a great cause. On March 25, 2011 Dave Andreychuk was the Keynote Speaker for the Hamilton Charity of Hope. Hamilton's Mayor Bob Bratina, 2007 Canadian Idol Winner Brian Melo, Hamilton's Citizen of the Year Peter Mercanti, Hamilton Tiger Cat Dave Stala, Retired NHL star and Hamiltonian Ric Nattress as well as hundreds of guests filled Carmen's Banquet hall for an unforgettable evening of dinner, auction, and Dave's Hockey Story. The function raised $100,000 for The Charity of Hope. In gratitude and support, The Charity of Hope made a donation to The Dave Andreychuk Foundation. A fashion show was held on March 10, 2011 with celebrity guests and Tampa Bay Lightning players and alumnus Dave Andreychuk on hand the fashion show which featured pediatric cancer patients and survivors was a huge success. Raising money for Pediatric Cancer Research the children stole the show. Dave could barely keep up with the young lady he was accompanying down the runway.
A benefit game for fallen officers Sergeant Thomas Baitinger, Officer Jeffrey Yaslowitz and Officer David Crawford was held at the Tampa Bay Skating Academy in Oldsmar, Florida on March 23, 2011.
St. Petersburg Police officers faced off against Tampa Bay Lightning Alumni and current staff members. All proceeds from admission, raffles and donations went to the fallen officer’s fund. Taking place at King's Forest Golf Course in Hamilton Ontario was a wonderful tournament for the CANUSA organization. The Dave Andreychuk Foundation was on hand to raise money and give out some great prizes to many who donated to the Foundation. Dave and Lightning Host the organization Operation Helping Hands at the February 4th Lightning game. Operation Helping Hands is a wonderful organization that assist wounded and injured veterans and their families.
The Dave Andreychuk Foundation would like to thank Operation Helping Hands for all they do for veterans! Keep up the great work! The Dave Andreychuk Mountain Arena and Skating Center in Hamilton, was a fun filled day at the arena! The event included food, prizes and hockey related activities both on and off the ice. Friends and fans had the opportunity to meet their Hamilton born hero! Proceeds from the event will benefited The Hamilton Minor Hockey Association and The Tim Horton’s Children’s Foundation. |
